Born in 2001, artist Leonardo Anco grew up in SJL, a sidelined district in Lima, PE. Coming from a striving, self-tought family, he was always interested in painting from the margins, in a quest that blends neurosis and faith. After entering the National University of Fine Arts, he has been reaffirming and polishing his liquid exploration of fragmented bodies—covered or exposed—caught between desire, discipline, and resilience through watercolor and also across other media.
